Before forming CHA, Charles was a founding director of Ordinary Architecture and a director of FAT. Whilst at FAT he was the director in charge of a number of key projects including A House For Essex, the practice's collaboration with Grayson Perry.
Alongside his practice activities Charles is involved in teaching, writing and research. He is a Professor of Architecture at the University for the Creative Arts, Visiting Professor at the ABK in Stuttgart and Visiting Lecturer at the University of Cambridge. He is a member of Design Review Panels for Harrow and Design South East and is an External Examiner at London Metropolitan University. He writes regularly about architecture and design and contributes to numerous other publications and industry forums.
Charles is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Member of the Twentieth Society's Casework Panel. He is a Trustee of Dover Arts Development and sits on the curatorial panel for the town's annual arts festival

Daniel is an architect and architectural historian, having studied at Canterbury School of Architecture, Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and the Bartlett, UCL.
Alongside practice, Daniel's research interests look at ideas of the home and comfort as well as the domestic work of Arts & Craft architect Barry Parker.
Daniel also teaches at Central Saint Martins within the Contextual Studies faculty and at Canterbury School of Architecture within the Architecture Design History and Theory faculty.
