Charles is currently a Professor of Architecture at University for the Creative Arts, Canterbury. His post explores the relationship of practice to education, building bridges between industry and academia. His personal research and teaching studio focuses on regional and rural development in relation to the current housing crisis.

 

Charles also co-curates the school's external public lecture programme MULTISTORY* with Professor Cat Rossi.

 

Charles is a former Visiting Professor at Yale University, a Visiting Professor at the ABK in Stuttgart, Visiting Lecturer at the University of Cambridge and an External Examiner at London Metropolitan University.
