Charles Holland Architects
This small shop was commissioned by Oliver Peyton as the first in a series of new bakery outlets. The design recreated in an abstracted way, the architectypal cake shop. The exterior of the shop was distinguished by a large squre window displaying cakes while the interior featured white tiles with mint green grouting. The filling the interior with candy coloured icing.
Display, refigeration and serving areas were designed as simply and minimally as possible to allow the brightly coloured cakes and packaging to act as the decoration.
This project was designed by FAT Architecture.
